THE PASSENGER’s LOG
Stardate 26 July 2021
There was fear and trepidation among some who connect with me regularly by cellphone that I had gone MIA – missing in action! Allow me to clue in my crew and shipmates that today and the next couple, (and over the next couple of weeks, intermittently), I may be unable to be reached by cellphone or smoke signal.
Thankfully, the Caption of the Starship GENESIS two-seven has brought on-board some of the finest navigators, when it comes to stars, known to man. I almost said, three of the finest but that would be a commonly held error, we are not sure by the biblical text that there were definitely three, there could have been more, maybe less, but I doubt that. Tradition has held that since there were three gifts, there were three gift bearers but I did not peek into the navigator’s quarters to check, so we will leave that for God to reveal.
Think, however of their prowess. In biblical times they were able to travel by tracking a single star across two continents over a period of about two years! Yes, I know all the Manger scenes show the ‘3’ wisemen there in the manger with their gifts, but the Bible is clear, Mary, Joseph and Jesus were living in a house in Bethlehem probably when Jesus was about two years old when the ‘wise men’ paid a visit. But I digress!!
It would take such gallant followers of the stars to be able to navigate this Starship to its current location, hovering over a place known only by those who dare to ask…. Guernsey County Ohio.
Yes, it is in these somewhat treacherous surroundings, where they say even Sasquatch is frequently seen though too frightened to stay that I have disembarked to spend some time among God’s nature.

These next couple of days it is just me, my Captain and his Holy Spirit who are as One, here in the ‘outback’ of remote stretches of timberland in Ohio. Believe it or not, one must travel nearly 30 or so miles just to find a Walmart! I have to leave my domicile and walk nearly five minutes to get to a hot tub! I don’t want to scare anyone, so I won’t share more about these remote surroundings.
I will return to complete the Oxygen overnight test on Wednesday and certainly will be around on Friday for Rhett’s Birthday… he turns 3… can you believe that? Otherwise, please, be not alarmed if my cellphone remains unanswered during these short sabbaticals.
Sometimes, I man just needs to spend some time with his Father.
