MISSION: OPERATION PERSEVERANCE
After several days docked at Rocky Fork Ranch, a few with some of the grandchildren with whom I would normally be while their Momma is at work and then a few days to myself, I am relaxed and refreshed. Alone in the countryside setting of Rocky Fork, fishing, and enjoying a campfire in the evenings, while bearing with my own cooking (Karin was in Maryland), I have enjoyed some quiet time.
It was during this quiet time I posted a short monologue ‘By the Fire.’ You can find it by clicking on the photo…
Today, the Starship Genesis two-seven is due to leave it’s mooring here to return to California Avenue. The intention was to pick up the O2 that was to be delivered today or tomorrow. Please note the words was to be … Allow me to state unequivocally that the new delay I am about to share is in no way any fault of Dr. N’s office. This rests entirely with… you guessed it, my insurance company. Hence the title: Operation Perseverance!
It seems the second test I took which was delayed in getting to Dr. N but he reviewed and wrote the Rx for the oxygen was dated July 8. The insurance company claims that more than thirty days had lapsed between the test and the Rx so… you guessed it again… ANOTHER night-time oxygen level test! (We were over the 30 days by 1 day).
This time, however, we have a plan. As soon as I take the test and the company retrieves it, I will have an appointment in Dr. N’s office and the office will require the test to be visible on-line at that visit and the Rx will be done immediately!
So many of you ask how you can pray. Please, always pray for Karin and the family to know how to live under the weight of this diagnosis. They are doing very well because of their faith but I know there are days when I can see it in their eyes, it weighs heavier than others. Please pray that the Oxygen is received. My nights are more and more filled with coughing and I hope the O2 will help me get some much needed rest.
Otherwise, all is well here aboard the Starship and we are ready to continue our voyage.
My morning devotion today I shared on-line because it was so appropriate. Allow me to share it again here.
I understand that it is God who chooses the way in which He will teach man (me). When I respect that the teaching is of His choice then my soul will dwell at ease.
What more can anyone ask than to have their soul be at ease no matter the trial or the lesson to be learned? Please pray for me to be attentive to the lesson(s) Christ has for me on this voyage.
Right now there is the distant rumbling sounds of thunder. Last night the thunder seemed to roll on and on. I don’t know if it is the mountain area we are in that causes it to roll like that but I could not help but sing this morning in my devotion time the line of How Great Thou Art that begins with “I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder…” I am so awed by the fact that the God of the universe knows my every need.
Have a blessed day!!
